Simsonic vs Hologram: global IoT SIMs compared

Hologram publishes simple pay-as-you-go pricing for data-only IoT SIMs. Simsonic adds regulated voice, white label and a UK focus. Here is how they compare.

Hologram and Simsonic both sell global IoT SIMs with a dashboard and an API. Hologram is known for transparent self-service pricing and data-only SIMs. Simsonic is built for fleets that also need voice, white label and UK-specific support.

This comparison uses Hologram's own published pages, checked on 28 October 2026. Check the source links before you decide, as prices change.

Where Hologram fits well

Hologram's published pay-as-you-go pricing makes it easy to start small and see exactly what a pilot will cost, with no sales call. For a data-only device fleet that values self-service, it is a solid choice.

Where Simsonic fits better

Devices that need to make calls. Hologram's IoT SIMs are data-only. Telecare alarms, lift autodiallers and alarm panels need a voice line, especially as UK copper lines are switched off in January 2027. Simsonic carries regulated voice on the same eSIM as the data.

Plans built around the fleet. Simsonic pools data across a group and lets you set group caps and alerts, so quiet devices balance busy ones and you see usage before the invoice.

Your own brand. Simsonic runs white label stores and consoles for businesses that resell connectivity.

One supplier for the whole estate. IoT devices, business eSIMs for staff, travel data and private 5G all sit in one Simsonic console.

How to choose

  1. Does any device need a voice line? If yes, you need a provider that carries voice.
  2. Do you want self-service pay-as-you-go, or pricing built around a whole fleet?
  3. Will you sell connectivity under your own brand?
  4. Is the UK your main market?
